In India, especially in West Bengal and Odisha, DolYatra is celebrated as an auspicious event every year. Dol is also called as Holi, thegreat festival of color and fun. People in Bengal are celebrating this day with great devotion as it is the birthday of Bhakti saint Chaitanya. Vaishnava people Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was an incarnation of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna took birth in the earth as the devotee of his own idols, Lord Krishna. He showed the way how a devotee can offer his full devotion and dedication towards his god or aradhaya. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had started Gaudiya Vaishnavism with his pupil.

DolYatra – A Festival of Color & Purity

Every year, in every part of Bengal DolYatra is celebrated by Bengalis as well as ardent followers of Shri Chaitanya. People take part in procession early in the morning, do naam-sankirtan, and dance in full devotion of God Krishna. It is also said that on this day, Lord Krishna had expressed his love towards Goddess Radha and that is the reason, DolYatra is also celebrated as the day of love. There are many places, temples and religious places where DolYatra is celebrated with full of fun and pure devotion in the heart. Gaudiya Mission is one of the religious place where DolYatra is commemorated with full of fondness and dedication.

DolYatra Celebration In Spiritualistic Way

Gaudiya Mission is one of the renowned charitable missions in Kolkata, West Bengal. The main aim of the mission is to help distressed people, provide education to children who are devoid of facilities and to provide shelter to the homeless people. People are many who donate via this mission for the sake of humanity and to do something better for the society. Unlike every year, this year also people can be the part of DolYatra celebration in Gaudiya Mission. Anyone can be a part of this celebration.

DolYatra Celebration of Love

DolYatra is not only the celebration of color and fun. It is the occasion to bring people in the same stage to strengthen the bonding among people. People from different class take part in the occasion and devote few hours of their lives in chanting the name of God. Gaudiya Mission follows the same. They want people to learn about love, bonding and equality in the way that was shown by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. That is the reason why they are going to celebrate DolYatra with the motivation bringing people under the same umbrella of love and equality.
