Appeal for Service about “Inauguration of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum & Centenary Celebration of Sri Gaudiya Math, Bagbazar”

With prostrated obeisance to the lotus feet of Lord Supreme and with humble regards to the devotees and admirers of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Gaudiya Mission, Bagbazar delightfully inform all concerned that the construction work of the project Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum at Bagbazar is going through the finishing touches and in all probability the Museum is slated for inauguration during the second half of the forthcoming year 2018. The Gaudiya Mission, with a view to spreading the message of 'Religion of Love of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu' in the society, was seriously contemplating the need of such a scheme for long. Having painstaking efforts by the Mission the plan of this unique & exquisite project was ultimately adopted and designed sometime back and being developed over the last few years it is now at the final stage of public appearance. Needless to add, the project has also been approved and partially funded by the Department of Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Besides, it has earned the generous patronage of various organizations both government & non-government including the people from all stratums, specially the zealous admirers of Mahaprabhu. It will not be out of place to mention here that the foundation stone of this great project was laid by Sri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Ex-President of India at the site of Sri Gaudiya Math, Bagbazar on 16th. Sept. 2013 and Sri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, while paying his kind visit to Sri Gaudiya Math, Bagbazar on 21st Feb 2016, also enquired about the progress of construction  and visited the site.

It is for general information for all that the Sri Gaudiya Math, Bagbazar, established in 1918 by His Divine Grace Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad. The Mission has been celebrating the hundredth year of its appearance through various functions & performances over the last three years and the Mission desires to celebrate the closing ceremony, likely to be held in the second half of the next year, with a befitting manner.

To organize the two major functions with dignity and great  success, it is needless to say, both fund and man power are most essential.  The Gaudiya Mission, therefore, appeals to all devotees and admirers of Mahaprabhu to extend their generous cooperation through munificent monetary contribution and voluntary service. For this purpose the desired person may contact the office at Sri Gaudiya Math, Bagbazar on Wednesday of every week between 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
