…World’s first museum on Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu with modern communication methods.
The need of the proposed museum
While many cultures from different parts of the world have flashed across the sky for a while like meteors and vanished, the sublime stream of Indian culture of Vaishnava cult is flowing on uninterrupted down the ages. Divine love attained only by cultivating the divine attributes of the soul as distinct from those of physical body and materialistic mind is its saving principle which has enabled it to tolerate, accept and absorb into itself the best in the other cultures. The inclusive, self-resilient character of Vaishnava tradition appeals millions of people for centuries.
As part of 525th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Gaudiya Mission is launching “Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum” Project. The project is an initiative to spread the doctrines and philosophy enunciated in Vaishnava cult and the message of peace, love and harmony as preached and propounded by Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu for the uplift, development and fulfillment of the mankind in the path of Universal Love and classless global society. The museum will have Digital Panoramic presentation on Gaudiya Philosophy, Vedic Cosmology, Manuscript based Digital Archive, Space Theatre utilizing short spiritual and philosophical videos, 3D animated movie clips and a Holographic presentation.
A huge collection of manuscripts and other artifacts of exquisite artistry trace the evolution of our culture from Vedic times to the advent of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. These artifacts are not only of immense archaeological importance but also are colorful commentaries on the secret of the longevity of Vaishnava culture. They illustrate the prominence of Vaishnava cult in our spiritual heritage. One section therefore is devoted to elucidate the strong pillars of age old Vedic philosophy upon which Gaudiya math is established.
