National Seminar on Interaction Between Science and Humanities

One day national seminar on the interaction between Science and humanities was held on 26th March 2017 at Gaudiya Mission Bagbazar para-Vidyapeeth Research Institute Lecture Hall. The assistant secretary of Gaudiya Math Sri Bhakti Nistha Nyasi Maharaj commenced this programme with lighting of the lamp and his respected speech at 10:30 a.m. onwards.

There are many delegates illuminated the programme with their valuable speech. The chairman of West Bengal Biodiversity Board Dr. Ashok Kanti Sanyal delivered his speech on Biological Science and Humanism, the retired professor of Calcutta University Sir Swapan Bhattacharya delivered lecture on the importance of Human Understanding and Scientific Thoughts. The honourable vice chancellor of Sanskrit College and University of Kolkata Sir Dilip Kumar Mohanta delivered lecture on Dharma and Logical Science and professor of Rabindra Bharati University of Kolkata Sir Suranjan Midday delivered lecture on Ekabinsha Satabdite Paribesh Bigyan ebong Samaj Chetona.

This session was academic session which was from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then 2nd part of academic session was started after lunch break. In 2nd session the retired professor of Burdwan University of Kolkata, Sir Gopal Khan delivered lecture on Science and Humanities, the former head of the department of Chemistry of Bangabasi College, professor Aparajita Basu delivered lecture on the Interaction between Science and Humanities and Human Wellbeing. Then Dr. Md. Sirajul Islam who is professor and former head (dept. of philosophy and Religion) of Visva Bharati University delivered lecture on The Relevance of Morality in the Age of Science and at the end of the programme the associate professor and Director (Acting), School of Vedic Studies, Rabindra Bharati University (Kolkata) Dr. Bhaskarnath Bhattacharyya delivered lecture on Scripture. Professor Piali Palit was presented as chairperson. Many academicians, research scholars, students and representatives of other socio-cultural organizations participated in the programme.
