Posted on: April 17, 2017 Posted By: Gaudiya Mission

Gaudiya Mission, Baghbazar had organized a grand Bhagbat Dharmasabha at Lord Shib temple's compound in Jagadishpur, Howrir hat (south 24 pgs.) from 1st April 2017 to 3rd April 2017. Many ardent devotees assembled at this Bhagbat Dharmasabha. Kirtans together with recitals from Sri Bhagvatam are carried on in a highly devotional atmosphere. Jagadishpur's Gaudiya devotees and other villagers who also indulged them in listening of Bhagbata. In Hinduism a Bhagbata means "devotee of Lord". The form of worship is called "adoration". Bhagabata indicates a worshiper of the adorable Lord Krishna, later assimilated into the concept of Narayana. One of the defining aspects of Gaudiya Vaishnavism is that Krishna is worshiped specifically as the source of "Avataric" incarnations of God. This is based on Bhagabata Purana. Krishna is described as the "sustaining energy of the universe" in Gaudiya tradition literally.

On the occassion of grand Bhagbat Dharmasabha a procession of Nagar sankirtan was arranged on 2nd April 2017. Nagar Sankirtan in the company of Sanyasis, Brahmacharis and devotees is carried out singing devotional songs in glorification of the divine jugol Sri Radha and Krishna with Sri Chaitanya Mahapraphu. The Mission delivers in purifying human beings through “Harinam Sankirtan” so that they may enjoy peace and contentment in their material life and move on to attain ultimate salvation and happiness.
